Bengaluru is planning a major upgrade to its rail infrastructure. Officials are considering a new railway terminal in Yelahanka to handle rising passenger traffic. The proposed terminal is inspired by modern designs from China. The terminal is planned across 20 acres. Around 15 acres will be taken from Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) land, along with two acres of private land.
