Bengaluru Traffic Police has collected over ₹5.6 crore in traffic violation fines in a single day on Friday, reports said. This comes a day after the Karnataka government announced a 50% discount on the payment of pending traffic fines till February 11. Reportedly, commuters violating traffic rules across Bengaluru owe the traffic police department around ₹500 crore in penalty fees.
