The proposed Bengaluru-Tumakuru quadruple-line railway project is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time and increase rail capacity, Minister of State for Railways V Somanna said on Saturday. By separating express and passenger services, the project aims to minimise delays and ease congestion. Land acquisition is expected to begin within the next five to six months.
