Bengaluru Vegetable Prices Soar, Tomatoes More Than Double

Vegetable prices in Bengaluru have surged over the past week, with tomato prices more than doubling from ₹25 to ₹54 per kg. Bean prices have also increased to ₹120 per kg. Unseasonal rainfall, high temperatures and crop damage have reduced supplies, while leafy greens have also become costlier. Traders expect prices to remain elevated if wet weather continues.
