One of the best Shalgam I had was in Turtuk (famous for its Balti cuisine) a few years ago. Theoretically, said to have originated in Central Asia, west of the Himalayan range, the Turnip is said to have been around Asia for as long as 4000 years. Read more about this humble vegetable here...
