Better building design could cut energy use sharply

Energy-efficient buildings could lower electricity use by improving insulation, glazing and thermal performance. Saint-Gobain's Sreedhar N said some new-construction use cases have shown energy bill reductions of up to 40%. He also pointed to waterproofing, corrosion protection and resilient materials as important for extending building life and reducing long-term costs.
