Afghans who worked at the US Embassy in Kabul are losing hope of being evacuated, a report has said citing a State Department cable. A staff member reportedly said "it would be better to die under the Taliban's bullet" than face the crowds at Kabul airport. Another staff member said they were "happy to die [in Kabul]...with dignity and pride".
