Beware! Nose Picking Can Cause Alzheimer's, Dementia

Even though nose-picking is an unpleasant habit, it is considered harmless, but not anymore. Scientists say it may not be risk-free. Studies conducted on mice say picking can damage the nasal cavity and bacteria can enter the brain through the olfactory nerve. Once in the brain, they stimulate the deposition of amyloid beta protein, potentially leading to Alzheimer's.
