A consumer court in Bengaluru has directed a man seeking ₹50 lakh as compensation after finding worms in ₹89 Cadbury chocolate bar to approach the state consumer forum. The court told the man, who filed the complaint in 2016, that the relief he was seeking was beyond its reach. He complained against Cadbury's Indian manufacturer Mondelez India Foods Private Limited.
