Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos-backed General Fusion will build and operate its Fusion Demonstration Plant (FDP) in the UK. General Fusion and the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) announced the project together. The construction of the plant, which is estimated to cost $400 million, is expected to begin in 2022.
