Freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907. He participated in Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperation movement at the age of 13 and burnt his books which were authored by Britishers. He was hanged on March 23, 1931, along with Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru after a much-debated trial for killing a British police officer.
