Bhavina Patel creates history, becomes 1st Indian to win gold in para table tennis at CWG

Para table tennis player Bhavina Patel created history by becoming the first-ever Indian to win gold medal in para table tennis at CWG. The 35-year-old defeated Nigeria's Ifechukwude Christiana Ikpeoyi in the final of the women's singles classes 3-5 event at CWG 2022. Bhavina had bagged silver at Tokyo Paralympics, which was India's first-ever Paralympic medal in para table tennis.
