Educational institutions in Bhiwandi have opposed a directive mandating disclosure of teachers' personal details on the Shalarth system under the RTI Act. R N Pinjari of Padmashree Annasaheb Jadhav Bharatiya Samaj Unnati Mandal said such data is protected under Section 8(1)(j) and a Supreme Court ruling, warning it breaches privacy without public interest.
