Bhutan said it will halve the $200 daily fee it charges foreigners in a bid to boost tourism. Bhutan raised its 'Sustainable Development Fee', which is mandatory to enter country, to $200 (over ₹16,509) per visitor per night from $65 (over ₹5,365) in September last year. The new rate of $100 (₹8,254) per night would come into effect from September.
