Tesla CEO Elon Musk in a podcast said that he pitched the idea of having a carbon tax in place to US President Joe Biden's administration who then told him the idea seemed "too politically difficult". Musk said the best way to encourage a shift from fossil fuels towards renewable energy is to "put a price on carbon".
