Senior Director for Environmental Justice at the US Council on Environmental Quality, Cecilia Martinez, has announced to step down. Martinez said that she needed time to rest and spend time with her family. This comes after Martinez played an instrumental role over the last year in helping disadvantaged communities as an integral part of President Joe Biden's environmental policies.
