US President Joe Biden has nominated Indian-American Sarala Nagala as a federal judge in the State of Connecticut. If confirmed by Senate, Nagala would become the first judge of South Asian descent to serve on the District Court for the District of Connecticut. She's currently the Deputy Chief of Major Crimes Unit in US Attorney's Office in District of Connecticut.
