Legislator Anant Singh from Bihar's Mokama constituency has retained the assembly seat even after having been in jail for the past few months. Anant Singh won in his stronghold in 2005 and 2010 on a JD(U) ticket, but quit the party after being arrested. Known as "Chhote Sarkar" in the region, Anant Singh won the seat without any campaigning.
