Village head of Bihar's Bhojpur, Rakesh Singh, gifted his 24,500 sqft private land worth crores to over 40 Mahadalit families to celebrate his daughter's birthday. "I chose [to do] this...for poor dalit families who've no roof over their heads," he said. True social progress is possible only when capable people dedicate some of their resources to the needy, he added.
