Mobikwik founder Bipin Preet Singh had earlier left his high paying job as a System on Chips (SoC) analyst at Freelance Semiconductors to build a mobile based wallet payment startup. In 2009, Mobikwik was started on a SMS-based recharge model and expanded to credit and BNPL services.
