The village of Bisrakh, near Delhi, follows a unique tradition. Unlike the rest of the country that celebrates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana on Dussehra, the villagers do not burn effigies of King Ravana or participate in Ramlilas. They believe that doing so would invite the wrath of Shiva, as Ravana was his ardent devotee.
