TMC leader Aroop Biswas, who quit as West Bengal Sports Minister over chaos at Lionel Messi's event in Kolkata, has lost the Tollyganj seat in the Assembly elections. The TMC leader lost to BJP's Papia Adhikary. Aroop had won Assembly elections from Tollyangj seat in 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2021.
