Bitcoin price mistakenly shown as $5,402 by crypto data network due to glitch

A glitch caused cryptocurrency data network Pyth, run by some of Wall Street's biggest players, mistakenly show Bitcoin price as $5,402 on Monday. "The issue was caused by the combination of two different Pyth publishers publishing a near-zero price for BTC/USD and the aggregation logic overweighting these publishers' contribution," Pyth explained. Bitcoin was trading above $42,000 on Wednesday.
