BJD suspends 6 MLAs over cross-voting during Rajya Sabha polls

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday suspended six MLAs over involvement in anti-party activities, including cross-voting during recent election to four Rajya Sabha seats from Odisha. The suspended MLAs are Chakramani Kanhar, Naba Kishor Mallick, Souvic Biswal, Subasini Jena, Ramakanta Bhoi and Devi Ranjan Tripathy. Earlier, Congress expelled its three MLAs in Odisha for cross-voting in the polls.
