BJP's West Bengal unit accused the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) president of Malda's Chanchal College of attempting to burn the pictures of poet Rabindranath Tagore, PM Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The students were protesting against the alleged atrocities on Bengalis in BJP-ruled states. Sukanta Majumdar said the incident has deeply wounded the entire Bengali society.
