BJP has alleged a ₹100-crore flood relief scam in the 2017 Malda floods in West Bengal, citing a 700-page report by the CAG submitted to the Calcutta High Court. BJP claimed that "over ₹7 crore was handed to people who never even applied for relief", while "6,965 individuals were paid 2 to 42 times into the same bank account."
