B Gopalakrishnan, BJP’s candidate from Guruvayur, allegedly called for a “Hindu MLA” to “reclaim the land of Guruvayurappan” in a video posted on Facebook. He said neither the Left nor the Right fielded a Hindu MLA and alleged the land has long been in the hands of temple looters. Kerala Students' Union filed complaint against him calling his remarks communal.
