Former TMC leaders - Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, Sushmita Dev and Prakash Chik Baraik - who joined BJP on Thursday were fielded as the party's candidates for the by-election to Rajya Sabha from West Bengal. They were fielded within hours of joining the party. Sushmita, who had joined TMC from Congress in 2021, said she's not expecting RS seat from BJP.
