BJP MLA Sangita Patil won for the third consecutive term from the Marathi and Muslim-dominated Limbayat constituency in Gujarat's Surat on Thursday. She secured 95,696 votes and defeated Aam Aadmi Party's Pankaj Tayade, her nearest rival, by over 58,000 votes. Her win comes despite reported anti-incumbency. Several independent candidates had contested from Limbayat.
