West Bengal BJP MP and former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay was admitted to hospital on Saturday with complaints of vomiting, abdominal pain, and abdominal distension. Gangopadhyay, 63-year-old, is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for acute pancreatitis with gastrointestinal sepsis. He remains critically ill but is in stable condition, doctors said on Sunday.
