BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal has written to Home Minister Amit Shah, urging that Delhi be renamed 'Indraprastha', citing its ancient roots. He also proposed renaming the railway station and airport accordingly. Khandelwal said Delhi embodies "the soul of Indian civilisation and vibrant tradition of 'Indraprastha', founded by Pandavas", adding that grand statues of Pandavas must be installed in Delhi.
