BJP retained Jammu and Kashmir's Nagrota seat as Devyani Rana, daughter of late MLA Devender Rana, won by over 24,000 votes in the by-polls that took place on November 11. "I'm very lucky that I got support of BJP...I would like to thank every leader and other workers of BJP," she said. Devyani beat nine other candidates contesting for seat.
