Syed Mushtaq Bukhari, BJP's candidate for Jammu and Kashmir's Surankote, passed away after suffering heart attack, before the result of elections. The 75-year-old ex-J&K minister had joined BJP in February after leaving National Conference. Notably, Bukhari passed away on Gandhi Jayanti and he was recently compared to Mahatma Gandhi by BJP's Tarun Chugh for working for tribal community's freedom.
