BJP has taken an early lead in central Gujarat as counting of votes is underway in Gujarat municipal polls, reports said. Of the 1,044 seats in 15 municipal corporations, BJP is leading on 270 seats, while Congress is ahead on 36 seats and other parties on six seats. BJP is leading in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Mehsana, Surat and Vadodara corporations.
