Two opinion polls by Matrize and Chanakya Strategies projected a decisive win for the BJP-led NDA in Assam's 126-seat Assembly. While Matrize forecast 92-102 seats for the NDA, Chanakya predicted 83-90, which is way above the majority mark of 64. Matrize predicted 22-32 seats for the Congress-led ASM alliance, while Chanakya predicted 30-36 seats. NDA won 75 seats in 2021.
