The Bharatiya Janata Party has secured the required majority of 92 seats in the 182-member Gujarat Assembly and will form the government for its sixth consecutive term. So far, the Congress has secured 74 seats, and others have won five seats. Notably, the BJP had won 115 seats, while the Congress had secured 61 seats in the 2012 Assembly elections.
