Most hair dyes contain hydrogen peroxide, which "murders" the natural enzymes in our scalp responsible for colour, says founder and managing director of Indus Valley. By killing the body’s internal ability to produce pigment, the dye forcibly turns the remaining black hair white over time. This creates a cycle of dependency where one must keep buying the product to hide the damage.
