A rare black panther that fell into a 50-foot-deep well in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri while chasing prey has been rescued after a 36-hour operation by forest officials. The rescue was executed by pulling out the animal using a cage after villagers raised concerns on hearing loud growls. Notably, the panther was later examined and released back into the Western Ghats.
