A blast was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in Mohali late on Monday, officials said. Pictures released from the spot showed shattered doors and window panes. In a statement, the Punjab Police termed the explosion "minor", adding, "Senior officers are on the spot and an investigation is being done." A rocket-propelled grenade reportedly caused the blast.
