A BMC executive engineer has been arrested for allegedly demanding ₹50 lakh bribe from a private company in Mumbai. Reports said that he demanded the bribe to halt action against an illegal construction inside the premises of the company. The accused's house was also searched by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and ₹1.13 crore in cash was found.
