BMC floats tenders for ₹2,000 cr Pise-Panjrapur water tunnel

The BMC has invited tenders for an 8-km underground raw water conveyance tunnel between Pise and Panjrapur in Thane district, estimated at ₹2,000 crore. The tunnel will replace four ageing pipelines supplying Mumbai's Panjrapur treatment plant. The state cleared the project in September and the contract period is 72 months.
