BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) will divert sewage lines and establish an 8 MLD STP to save Mumbai's Powai Lake from hyacinth. The BMC has invited tenders for sewage line diversion and the construction of an 8 MLD STP. Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Abhijit Bangar stated that the BMC has prioritised hyacinth removal as a key conservation activity.
