BMC will procure beach cleaning machinery for Juhu, Dadar and Mahim beaches at ₹27.5 crore under a new six-year plan. A contractor will be appointed to supply and maintain the machinery for six years. "Last year, we hired equipment for six-month periods, but now we have appointed a contractor to provide machinery for six years," said a civic official.
