Reacting to RCB's Ellyse Perry and DC's Annabel Sutherland withdrawing from WPL 2026, ex-India cricketer Aakash Chopra stated the franchises have been dealt a body blow. "RCB have kept Sayali Satghare as a replacement. It's the same skill set, but she cannot be the same player," he added. Aakash said Alana King, who has replaced Sutherland, isn't a like-for-like replacement.
