Boeing 747-400s use floppy disks for critical software updates: Security researcher

Boeing 747-400 aircraft still use floppy disks for loading critical navigation databases, security researcher and pilot Alex Lomas from cybersecurity firm Pen Test Partners claimed. He got access to a British Airways 747 after the airline decided to retire its fleet. He discovered a floppy disk drive in the cockpit and said the database is updated every 28 days.
