Boeing 787 plane circles for an hour over water, returns to Los Angeles with RAT deployed
A LATAM Airlines Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plane circled over the Pacific Ocean for about an hour after taking off from Los Angeles International Airport, only to return after about 1.6 hours. A video that surfaced online showed the plane landing with Ram Air Turbine, which is used during emergencies, deployed. The plane reached speeds of up to 750 kmph.
