Late Bollywood actor Pran Krishan Sikand, popularly known as Pran, was born on February 12, 1920, in Old Delhi’s Kishangarh area. While Pran first acted in Punjabi film 'Yamla Jat' (1940), he debuted in Bollywood with 'Khandan' (1942). The Padma Bhushan awardee was honoured with Indian cinema's highest award, Dadasaheb Phalke, in 2013. The same year, he passed away.
