Bombay HC bails Ugandan held 4 yrs in Mumbai drug case

The Bombay High Court granted bail to Ugandan national Isma Opaka Wandera, arrested in July 2022 after allegedly swallowing 91 drug-filled capsules at Mumbai airport. Justice Shyam Chandak ruled that four years of detention without trial progress had turned punitive, violating Wandera's right to life and liberty under Article 21.
