Bombay High Court criticised Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) for its handling of air pollution. The court stated officials of NMMC had repeatedly failed to comply with the court's orders on pollution control measures. It warned of stopping salary of NMMC chief and also expressed serious dissatisfaction with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's response to air quality concerns.
