Bombay HC refuses blanket protection against police detention amid SIR protests

The Bombay High Court refused to grant blanket protection against mass police detentions during demonstrations amid ongoing protests demanding CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. The PIL also alleged police excesses during protests on October 10 and 11 over alleged irregularities in the SIR. "Whatever are the instances you bring those on record, we will take care of it," the court added.
